I'm pretty much a ribbon or ribbon+dynamic guy.
With the ribbon+dynamic I have developed a slick method of mixing and managing phase when I want a mono result.
Ribbons I seem to go to are r121 or r92. Dynamic is usually a 57 even though the pic shows an i5.
Generally tracking looks like this...
Why do you feel you need a LCD?
My two cents is to be patient and look for a much better used mic. Scout other professional forums and you're likely to find one.
It depends but with two it's almost always a Ribbon (r92 or r121) and a 57.
Post tracking I have a three plugin setup to mix to mono, utilize phase as EQ and mix 100% one to the other.
Stereo can mean a lot of different things to different people. It's not clear what you're after. Wider sound field Mono source? Double tracking's not an option?
Why not ITB Reverb?
I'd be more than happy to reamp (pro bono) if your DI tracks are in good shape and you can supply backing tracks... and you're not in a super hurry... It does take a bit of back and forth with reamps.
