Some of those things sound like a freaking whip, which I would imagine is what patlang is referring to about it hurting their ears.
They're really cool. It's awesome that they are so cheap.
Use a spring and you shouldn't break them.
Lmfao! I JUST said that, and look what immediately followed.
What a freaking joke.
Did Harvey get banned over that headphones thread? I know nothing of this.
He's not selling them yet, and everyone already knows he sells stuff. That doesn't make it much of an ad as I see it.
And yeah, you probably should be thanking him. He's a nice, helpful guy.
Oh, wait, I almost forgot. He's actually satan in human form because he made a thread that is...
If they're going to actually be distributing them in the US, I would imagine that it will be GC prices.
I hope their QC gets better, though. Since a lot of people will be ordering them without trying them out, their current reputation will end up causing a heck of a problem.
In my experience, burned CDs definitely do not last very long. However, it might very well be due to the quality of the CD and the burner. Mine are just cheap 50 for $10 types made with the standard CD writer that came with my computer. They seem to scratch very easily, and be affected...
Yeah, but I think that in looking at all this stuff, we often forget that that is still 200 freaking bucks. That is really a lot of money, and definitely not an amount that you would want to just throw around.
I've never used one, but with my understanding of how they work, I personally don't...
Yup. That's why it's always good to screw with the EQ on stuff when you are listening to the whole mix, maybe even if you think it sounds "perfect" as-is. There's no telling how it will sound in the mix unless it is being done in the mix, and that the mix is really all that matters in the end.
The wind screen makes it much less practical as a recording mic, ESPECIALLY considering that the 57 is actually cheaper.
The 58 is tailored much more to being a live vocal mic.
Wait, could the distortion be due to you blowing a bunch of air into it? That seems like a possibility. Are you using a pop filter?
chessrock, it sounds kind of like one of your 44s was bad, considering that you only have one other mic of the exact same model to compare it with.
Ah, nifty. Are these going to be like $300 range mics, or what? Sorry I keep asking so many questions about them. This is interesting hehe. Is there a place someone can point me where you can read about them?
