I never knew what they were until recently, I still don't care, it's silly, the only people who use them are people who disagree with you so they give you bad rep points, lol. Kind of reminds me of grade school antics. I mean no one has to be involved in a thread if they don't like it.
I agree with most of what you say. However, incase you weren't aware Behringer was never convicted of stealing anything from anyone. The famous case was settled out of court. I'm not one for hearsay (spelling?) and don't draw any conclusions from a settlement as there are countless reasons...
If you want to take the high road you better take inventory. You can use that argument to no end on everything from the pants you buy to the computer you use. Do you think Leo Fender invented the electric guitar? Should we all stop buying Fenders because he "stole" the idea or because the bulk...
The part about being defensive is the silly part. Personally I can afford all the high end gear I want, I have some middle of the road gear and some cheap gear, have had some high end gear in the past and most all of it produced good/great results when used properly. The problem with your...
You read the interview, Bo's words not mine.
You said: "As far as Tony Visconti goes, if he can not tell the difference between a Behringer comp and a Chandler TG1, he is high" .. which is the same thing.
Nonsense, All I did is point out A-list pros who use Behringer. I do this in hopes some...
This thread IS about Behringer gear! I'm not sure what you mean about pressing every point to absurdity. I listed professionals who use their gear, anyone with half a brain should come to the conclusion that their gear .. or some of it .. is of professional quality, up to the task, otherwise...
None of the pros I listed used the headphone amp as far as I know, BUT, it wouldn't matter if they did, it would only further prove my point that real honest to goodnes pros, making real albums find it good enough to use. These people are at the top of the food chain, these are major label...
Where did I mention endorsers? Ummm, nowhere! I have no idea who endorses what and don't care. Excuse me for using common sense, but I'll take Tony's words over yours, he's more successfull than you'll ever be, has forgotten more than you'll ever know, Oh!, and to top it all off, his recordings...
Show me all these pro reviews who dis Behringer, just show me three! I can show you REAL pros who use Behringer gear right now. Real pros, as in, real producers with million seller albums (many) and real artists with million seller albums (many), real engineer etc.
Teddy Riley (hit producer)...
Well, we've been programed to believe we need this and that to get the job done. Neil Youngs "Sugar Mountain" was done at home with a cassette player. No amount of gear could make that song or recording hit home better.
Behringer products are a great value and consistantly get great reviews. Don't listen to the bashers, most of whom have nothing in the way of quality recordings to back up their "high end" ramblings.
I've owned or tried most of the lower priced units mentioned and overall find the V55 to be a much more professional unit. I won't bore you with detailed opinions on why I feel this way, I'll only say in short that just about every aspect of the V55 out performs the lower priced units of today...
Nothing to complain about, Bowies producer uses them for a reason, they work good, and if they work for Bowie you can bet they are certainly good enough to work for you. Now, I used a Behringer compressor on a track I had posted out here and don't take this the wrong way but the recording as a...
Many of the old 4 and 8 track Beatles recordings still sound better than many CD's today. They aren't overcompressed, they aren't too dense, over stuffed as it were. The dynamics of those Thirty five plus year old recordings blow most of todays popular radio recordings away, Imo.
Errrr, ok. So is it a law that they are to be used solely for dynamic processors? If so you have a lot of pro producers breaking it! Part of the problem as noted already is that most home recording people use low end effects unit which don't have seperate wet and dry controls. You can still...
Your confused, the DPS-V55 was never a cheap unit, it was a mid-priced unit that still out specs and has more to offer in way of routing and editing then many of todays mid-priced units. The V77 was listed at $1,900, so not sure what you're talking about as far as that price being very cheap...
Show me where you can find a DPS-V55 for $100 bucks and I'll buy all of them up. The last few on ebay went for close to and over $200 and on occasion closing in on $300.
If you want to believe the new low budget verbs can campare, feel free, but get your ears checked :D
