Your "modded" LXP-15 is not a newer unit and it wasn't cheap. If memory serves me it was about twice as much as a V-55.

Sounds like you guys were just recording practice with one mic. I love the Jr and I like the tone you're getting, but it doesn't at all sound like the amp is mic'd, just sounds like a jam session and someone through up a mic in the room.
