It would be possible, but a tight fit. Mind you, it's a pretty tight fit now, so that would simply be a step sideways.
I opted, originally, for the current setup, as it gives me a more square area in which to set other stuff up - a square being the maximum area within the smallest length and...
Okay, so I've moved my studio into a nice big room in my house that used to be the family room. (he-he.... he shoots, he scores!!!:D )
I'm just curious, in general (not specific to MY room - at least not yet) what the effect of a sloped ceiling is. The room has a ceiling that slopes up from...
I'm assuming you don't have a phase switch on your mixer or preamp either. What are you recording to? Most software packages, AFAIK, have a feature where you can reverse the phase of your recorded wav file. Simply select it, click on "invert phase" or something like that, and you're home.

I don't know how much different the Warlock is from the Bich, (I think the main difference is just the body design, but I'm not sure) but I picked up a Rich Bich a few years back and have been quite happy with it.
My original "main" guitar was one of the older El Degas models from the '70's...
I've said it before.... I'll say it again
A lot of debate here about "they're hissy"...."no they're fine".... blah, blah, blah, blah, and more unsupported blah.
I bought a pair on the recommendation of a few trusted souls here, and have been rather happy with them. I read a thread about...
Hey there;
I have a band coming in in a couple of weeks to record. I've never done a live drum kit when I've actually had any range of options for mics before. Last time, I had an SM58, and two unidentified dynamic mics that worked. :(
Anyway... I have an SM58, a TOA mic (which by sound...
A lot of people gripe about Behringer's customer service and support. I have a few Behringer items, and they have not been faulty so I've not had to worry about it.
What I don't understand, though, is the number of people who complain about that very thing. Do all those people buy stuff...
Okay, then.... perhaps it's a debate about semantics. In Cubase, in order to have a stereo track, it is I guess *technically* one track. In order to do this, though, you must have it on TWO CHANNELS, which in Cubase, the first must be odd-numbered. (ex. 5+6)
Chris
Ready?? You'll maybe laugh your ass off, as I know I'm about to generate Behringer=anti-christ audio comments. I have one tube mic pre (a Peavey TMP1) which is pretty decent. I didn't use it for that particular recording because it is only a single channel, and I wanted to run both mics...
Hearing.
:D
...or is that not quite what you were expecting??
;)
What about.... physical energy. Without it, I find nothing else really works. Breathing is short, technique is sloppy, etc.
Chris
I have a pair of the ECM8000's, which I bought for the purposes of using as drum overheads. Ironically, I haven't had opportunity to record live drums since I got them.
I DID try them on acoustic guitar in a very small spare bedroom studio that mostly sounds like ass. To...
You say you have the backing instrumental music on one track. Are you implying, then, that you are trying to overdub vocals on a single mono track? If so, that could be your problem. The vocals are competing for the same "physical space" in the mix, so will sit on top. Make sure you are...
It depends, really. If your soundcard only supports 16 bit recording, then selecting 24 bit won't make any difference. If it does do 24 bit, then definitely go that way.
Chris
I happen to like the Rode NT1. You might also want to look into Behringer stuff. In both cases, as above, you will find better stuff out there, but you'll pay for it. In the bang-for-the-buck department, they're tough to beat.
Chris
Re: 2 worth considering..............
I'll second the AKG240 phones. The only caution I'll give on them is that they're not good isolation phones, but they sound decidedly accurate, and they're a decent price.
Chris
Hehe.... I hear ya. (just barely above that blasted ringin' in my ears from listenin to too much metal...;) ) I change my strings about 3x a year - mostly for that very reason!
Oh, yeah... back to the topic. FWIW, I have the Composer Pro MDX2200 and have been TOTALLY happy with it. It cost...
Sorry, Chess.... you know I often support your posts, but not this time. I'm a school teacher with top qualifications and about 6 years experience, which puts me in about the middle of the pay grid. I have a mortgage, line of credit, credit cards, and student loans that I'm paying off...
That's okay.... I'm getting totally bored of RHCP anyways. How many times can they deliver variations of "Give it Away" and get away with it before the mass public finally figures it out? Live, they sounded great, but they did NOT engage the audience in the slightest. I'd pay to go see Flea...
