    New, Old Stock Headphones Question

And I'm not suggesting you'll like them. Phones are like shoes. Everybody's feet and heads are different. I'm just saying I'm still really happy with mine. I have thought about looking at the 990s though, just to see the difference.

    New, Old Stock Headphones Question

80 ohm. I didn't have the 250 ohm to compare them to, but one of the reasons I preferred these over others that were available at the time was their what seemed to me to be fairly even response, whereas most others seemed too hyped, some in the highs like the Sony's that I hated, and others at...

    I need a new amp.

Well, we still haven't hit on what type of music, and what sound you're really going for. And if you want something that will cover a wide variety of different genres, which is OK, that's yet a different thing. What's confusing me is that you're saying you're not in a band, and that by the time...

FWIW, I LOVE my DT-770 Pros.

    I need a new amp.

As everyone has said so far, first you should answer RFR's questions. There's really no point in continuing this discussion until you do. THEN we can get somewhere. Btw, we're not all going to agree, so you're going to have to do some in person testing on your own. Personally, unless you're...

using a guitar fx processer with a mixer(is it possible?)

Just out of curiousity, what kind of music is this? What kind of sound are you going for?

using a guitar fx processer with a mixer(is it possible?)

Yeah, rob's right. I don't really understand why you're doing it your current way either. The DI seems like an unnecessary step unless YOU think it adds something good to the sound. I've seen guys run a digital modeler like the Boss into a TUBE DI, to make it sound 'less digital', but other than...

    Corner desk placement a no-no?

Now that I read this, I don't know why I bothred asking. Maybe somebody else considering the same thing will get something out of it, though.

    Corner desk placement a no-no?

I'm sure it is, but just double checking. I'm probably going to be doing everything in phones and 90% in the box anyway, so I guess it really doesn't matter. I don't pretend that anyone except maybe a few friends will hear anything I do, and I can just tell them to use headphones. They're all...

How Many Guitars do you own

I've never had more than a half dozen amps (or have I?), but at one time I had in the mid-50s if you included basses and the two upright basses.

If you ever get a shot at a Dano 12 string, take it!

How Many Guitars do you own

Hey, Track! Happy belated! I checked out some of your youtube stuff and I dig it. I'm a huge ABB fan, as well as ARS. You even used the Creem logo! :thumbs up: Who did the vocals on the ABB stuff?

    whats your 2020 setup?

What's the pre? I can't tell. So the CL goes BEFORE the pre? Does it do that much for the dynamic mics?

    whats your 2020 setup?

Exactly. Sooo much easier to play. And mine was way cool. Purple metalflake.

    Tele-prompter On Stage ???

Even when I was young I used to put a notebook with the changes on top of my amp to refresh my memory before each song. And that was in my early 20s. I can only imagine how bad I would be now.

I would need someone holding huge cue cards.

very cool JoeMeek VC3 just posted on Reverb

Oh, I don't intend to cut corners, but unless it's an original PSU, how do you know if it's a 'cheap' one or not? How does this one look to you? 12VAC Power Supply for JoeMeek/StudioProjects - Pixel Pro Audio

    Can't Find Old Mic Cable

Do you remember which pins were used on your 55 plug for low impedance? I've got a couple too, and my cables are shot at the plug ends. One of the plugs is actually shot, too. I love those mics.

Yes, he is! Got it today! Thanks a million! Now, to find a PSU. So, if it only needs 416 mA, just wondering why a 500 mA wouldn't work? A guy on another board said his original VC3 PSU says the output is only 300 mA.
