    Intel or AMD?

webstop is right. Most glitches are caused by cheap hardware like SIS chipsets. I hear they had a new chipset out that was supposed to be good, but I don't know about that... Cheap hardware is very difficult to work with and very unpredictable. As long as you get good hardware in either genre...

Building NEW PC in few days !!! Need help!

Have you checked out http://www.sysopt.com for the motherboard you are looking at? They have a ton of user-reviews on all kinds of different equipment. That'd be a good place to start checking out the equipment you have spec'd out.

    Monitor placement

I was made a believer in the fact that your monitors should always stand up by reading the manual that came with my Tannoy Reveal monitors. The manual basically said "Because you bought Tanny studio monitors, you obviously know how to hook them up, so let's talk about how to place them." I added...

    Intel or AMD?

I used to be an AMD man mainly because I didn't have a whole lot of money to drop on Pentium Processors. This was back in the AMD K6-II days... Now though, I won't go anything but Intel for the PC platform. I have run into strange glitches and things with my older AMDs. Now while I can't vouch...

Building NEW PC in few days !!! Need help!

The ATI Radeon 7500 is a VERY good card. I am using it right now, but it is a little out-dated. Why don't you look at the Radeon 9000. You can get it at BuestBuy for $89.99. I would reccomend ATI to anybody.

    Time for a new Mobo

I only use Abit boards with Intel Chipsets. Try the BE7-RAID. Handles a P4 533MHz FSB, onboard RAID, and up to 2 Gigs of DDR333 RAM.

Microsoft Bulitin - A MIDI file can hack your computer

I think what is happening is hackers are findng back doors that Microsoft has programed in. These "Secutiry" enhancements are probably nothing more than Microsoft changing the back door.

Microsoft Bulitin - A MIDI file can hack your computer

LOL Kinda "Blowing the carbon out of it" so to speak? LOL Our fastest server at work is a Dual P3 1G with RAID 5 U160s and 1G of RAM, but believe me, it's pretty quick. Even if it is a P3... :D I know what you are talking about with building them though. This one we thought "Hmmm... It's a PDC...

Build or Buy, a slightly different slant

That sounds like a good idea. Dell is a good manufacturer, so you really can't go wrong there. I always build my own because I really like to know what's going into my computer and make sure each piece is the best that I can buy, but if I had to buy one, I'd buy a Dell.
