do i let the tube warm up before i record any vocals? in the beginning i was getting a LOT of hiss..now after maybe 10 min it has reduced..im using cool edit by the way... how do i remove the hiss if warming up is not the case?

k i figuered out how to record in mono, now the thing is, when i record, the places where i dont speak has a lot of hiss, i cut that and deleted all the empty space, but when i get to some parts in my vocals, u can sorta hear the hiss.. any thoughts?

Im getting a Behringer 802A tomorrow , (thats all i can afford right now)
Anyways,
to connect it to my computer do i use the 'main out' to my line then record like i did with cool edit?
also, any tips? im gonna be using a studio projects B1 with it...
anything i should know when...
does the Behringer MX802A and the UB1204-PRO have the right amount of phantom power to power the mic?
and whats the difference between the MX series and UB, would i notice any difference, im i newbie.
