ive tried all that, everything seems to be connected properly...the mki doesnt have a pci card thoough, it connects through a firewire to the firewire port

thanks alot man, that helped...I finally got the motu to play sound from the headphone and monitor outs, but its still not being recorded in audition :( I dunno...any more suggestions? I set the wave in to motu analog, and wave outs to my card...am i an idiot and the sound doesnt even come...

anybody know how to assign outs and monitors in audition? Im trying to run my motu into audition and canty get any sound output out of the firewire, motiors, or head phones, and motu tech support told me i had to assign outs, but he didnt know auditon sohe couldnt tell me how but I thought id...

my driver only has a couple options, buffer size, sample rate, monitor inputs, but no option to switch the inputs on and off unless thats what the monitor inputs do and my box just doesnt work

thanks...see the thing about that is, even if the software isnt configured right, that shouldnt affect the fact that the unti itself isnt putting out sound even to the monitor outs and headphones, right? I mean that goes straight out...Thats what makes me think its something in the unit itself...

I have the original 828 too...Im using WinXP with Audition I dont know how to specify in and out and record enabled tracvks, the only thing I got from the download page was Cuemix which doesnt seem to do anything and audio console or something which just lets you pick which outs are being used...

This is for anybody who has had one of these. I just bought an mki off ebay, I have my inputs hooked up, they register on the light panel, but there is no sound coming out of the phone or monitor outputs. Ive messed with the gain knobs, nothing.am i missing something or do i have to go find...

this is probably a stupid question but i cant figure it out... Im trying to save songs to use at another persons studio onto CD, but when I save it just saves the program sequence info, but not the audio itself...what am i doing wrong??

i need to know how though, ive tried doing it with stretch, and it just changes the key by stretching it and changing the pitch

this is probably really simple but I cant find the answer to this...is there anyway to slow down a sample in audition? The only thing i can find how to do is pitch change which just keeps the sample in the same time length but time stretches it to change the pitch. I want to play the samples...

to anybody who can answer this: I heard that if you work on a project at a higher frequency like 96 or 48k, then when you convert it to 44.1k for a CD you lose part of the frequency and your sound degrades...is this true? So should you just work at 44.1 from the beginning?

I just bought a motu 828 mki and Im wondering if the a-d converters are noticably better on the mkii, or if the 96k sampling rate makes a difference. Anybody had one and moved up to the other??
