Question #1: For some reason many of the background vocals sound very nasal, and it gets worse after using autotune (they are badly off pitch). Any tips on how to lessen it? Is it just EQ or are there other tools that might be suitable?

I think the bass also needs compression and maybe EQ. Most of the time its not heard but here and there suddenly appears some undefined boomy sound.
