Heya folks. I know this is off topic but i'm relatively new here and have spent most of my time in this and the rack gear forum... perhaps later i'll venture out a little more, but for now, i was hoping you'd all humor me :)
I'm in canada, and i want to order off of an american web-based...
the mackies are too expensive and i've actually heard really good things about those monitors. i know behringer is a bad word around here but they've been recommended by lots of people.
anyhow, perhaps i will split it up. thanks for the feedback, folks.
i said i'd do 700. perhaps a little more... all of this is going to be shipped to my grandparents place in the states so that i can avoid taxes and duties by bringing them back at christmas in a minivan full of 5 kids and two good humored caucasian parents unlikely to be stopped at the border...
certainly interesting.. while those mics might not be useful for anything more than a door stop, given that they're charging the same price for most things as anywhere else, it certainly tips the scales, no? I've wanted a delta1010LT for a while but the local store has been out of stock... if i...
hmmm.. i suppose i could get a couple less expensive mics, but i sorta had my heart set on something with the quality to compliment the brent averill..
worth consideration, i suppose.. 8thstreet is offering them for 700 with a free pair of K-240 headphones - which aren't exactly sealed, but i suppose i could use nonetheless..
anyone else have any recommendations?
perhaps you should get a patchbay. neutrik makes excellent ones with 24 channels, 1/4" TRS inputs and various normalizing options. I've got one, myself.. it cost me 80 canadian.
heya folks. i just got my drums set up with a bunch of AKGs, (D112, 4x C418, 2x C1000s), an SM57, my Mackie CR1604 and an M-Audio DMP3. (though i plan to replace my C1000s with 603s.) I record into my computer on cubase via a Delta 1010LT (hooked up to a neutrik patch bay so its kinda like the...
no one saw anything the least bit interesting? bah.
well i checked out some of the stuff.. can anyone convince me 500$CA (about 315$US) is NOT a price to be jumped upon for a yamaha SPX 990, before i spend some hard earned cash that could, conveivably, go elsewhere?
yes yes, gidge.. i know i could have found it somewhere else, but i figured it would take one person two minutes to reply with a definant answer to my question. i'm sorry to have inconvenianced you so. please accept my humble apologies.
thanks!
also.. where can i find the 603 by itself? i can only find it (i've only checked online, thus far) with that other mic which i dont want to pay for.
would someone mind posting a link to that forum being mentioned?
i bought a kit of AKG mics for my drums off ebay because it had everything i wanted. although i'd rather have had something else than the C1000s it came with. I'm thinking i'll sell them and get 603s if i like what chess posts...
