    Recomendations

Ok, I am a guitar/kybd/bass player. I want to buy/learn drums and yes, I am nuts or excentric or whatever. I really don't like junk, so generally speaking I usually buy mid to top shelf stuff. I am looking at a set of Pearl master customs for the drums and really have no idea for the cymbols...

    The Wish List

This is really sad, but I have all the axes I ever wanted. I should be happy, but I go into guitar shops and I can't find anything that turns me on. Oh well, maybe I should take up drums.

How much did you pay for your most expensive axe?

I gave them the specs from here. It took the 6 months from order date to delivery. They quoted me 16 weeks, but they had to make a new neck and had problems mating the headstock to the neck. Even with the cost and the time, I can honestly say it is worth it.

How Many Guitars do you own

You make a good point, but I think it's the difference between needing and wanting. I, myself, have 13 guitars, 2 basses and 5 amps. I only gig about 6 times a year, and when I do, I usually only take one axe and one amp with me. So in my case, I definitely don't need all this equipment, but I...

Best sustain machine: Marshall or MesaBoogie?

You really need to learn that you are paying way too much. I got my TSL for $1200 new, and my Tripple Rect for $1500. Those are regular prices too, not sales.

Best sustain machine: Marshall or MesaBoogie?

marshall i would just get a DSL or TSL head... and messa i would get duel or triple rectifer... I agree with that. I have a TSL and a Tripple rect. They do have slightly different sounds and both crank and sustain forever. Either is a good choice. Go play them and see which one you like better...

Getting my Fender Strat Re-Painted... How much should it cost???

http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/tutorial5.htm That link has some good info. I refinished mine about a year ago. I did all the prep work (sanding and filling), then sent it to a biker paint shop. They did a real good job. It cost me $450, but $300 of that was for the multi color paint I used...

    Mariachi Axes

Does anyone out there know what to call the accoustic bass they use in a mariachi band. It appears to be a super jumbo body with a short neck. Does anyone know where to get one?

    Anybody own a Marshall TSL601?

I have a TSL100. It is by far my favorite amp. That's up against a Mesa Trip/Rect and a Fender blues deville. Overall, my Marshall gets about 80% of my playing time (I just like options). It seems more versitle and easier to get the sound I want out of it. The 601 is basically the same thing in...

    Solid state or Tube

Some other history is that the world is flat and the ocean has big monsters in it. Go far enough and you will fall off. Well, I guess I will get out the lead lined boxers before I jam again, and I will definitely stay out of the ocean.

    wireless,where and how do you????

I just clip it to my strap unless it's for my mic, in which case I just clip it to my belt.

    Guitar Effects On Bass?

To answer your question, yes, you can use guitar effects on your bass, although "bass effects" boxes are geared towards a bass. I use a wah-wah pedal and a guitar compressor and a maximiser on my bass, but I also use my bass amp in conjunction with my Marshall on my guitar too. Effects are...

    Vintage Gibsons vs. New Gibsons

I have 4 Gibsons, 2 vintage (1275 double neck and a 150DC), and 2 new ones (1999 SG Supreme and a 12 string SG custom). I love all of them. So here is the deal, first off you need to like the way it plays and sounds. Whether it's vintage or not, the playability is the most important criteria...

    Solid state or Tube

I can't understand when you all say that tube amps are high maintenance. I have 2 tube amps, a Marshall and a Fender. I have had one for 8 years and the other for 15 years and I have never touched either of them. Just my opinion here, but I call that fairly low maintenance. What are you guys...
