Another route is to ask someone to play the bass for you. Look around, there are plenty of musicians on here to collab with. My good stuff is all from collaberations.

I agree, especially if want the band to sound cohesive, using different reverbs on the instruments will make them sound like they are not in the same room. It's better to add it later on.

Yeah, mine is a 64 bit version too... And I upgraded Reaper to 3.21. I really like the changes to the interface.

I am listening without reading anyone else's comments, so if I repeat what is already said, you know... The song is well recorded. The mastering limiter is set low enough to not squash things too far... But the song itself isn't much. There is no real hook that grabs me. Everything is well...

Yeah, any pop song recorded in the '80's....

It may just be the hosting site screwing them up...

Did you have it mastered? There is a lot of digital clipping on the tracks. Either things were tracked and mixed too hot or the mastering house screwed things up for you... Sorry, I liked the music, and I'd buy it, but the recording quality is a bit lacking.

Have you gone online and updated the drivers and installed the patches? They are availabe free on the Fostex website.

I normally high pass the bass to keep it from drowning the kick. And I usually only high pass the other tracks that seem boomy.

Yeah, I got lucky there. The plugins that I use don't have any problems working with Win7. In fact, because the new laptop is a 7200rpm drive and 4 gigs of ram, most are working much better. No clicks, no pops, no freezing. All in all, I can't complain. I was thinking of upgrading Reaper before...
