I didn't follow the whole thread. Listened to the version that was posted second. I'm the wrong one to comment on popular music, as my era is 60s and 70s, but it sounds good to my ears. More reverb than I'd like to see, but probably consistent with current trends. Vocalist has a nice voice...

Very nice song. Great lead vocalist. Everything recorded and mixed quite well. My only nit would be to back off on the autotune a little.

Nice song. Well recorded and performed. But I agree with Bulls Hit, it's mixed/mastered a bit too loud. Takes the dynamics completely away.

Sorry, but I kept waiting for vocals. Got a little monotonous to me otherwise. Well recorded and mixed though. I hear what everyone is talking about with the DI guitar. It's not at all bad, it's just to sparkly or something. Nice work.

I like this, but kept waiting for vocals. Assume they're coming? Otherwise good foundation. Mix is good. Guitars sound good. I think you could pan even further with the two guitars coming in around 0:34.

This is nice. Hypnotic. Not familiar with trip-hop, but it's not strange to my ears. Not sure I'm quite crazy about the drum sound - the snare in particular. Good job. Well mixed and recorded.

Nice. Kinda bluegrassy. If I’m being honest, I don’t care for your wife’s vocal on this as much as other things I’ve heard. She gets a little harsh in spots. Bass could come up a smidge.

I posted an updated version. Several comments about the bass. I never quite heard them, but I tried to tame it a bit in this remix. Also mastered it a bit hotter, as when I A/B-ed it to commercial stuff it was a bit weak. Thanks for all your input.

Agree about the vocal. Seems the reverbs on the instruments don’t match the reverb on the vocal. Personally I think there’s too much verb on the instrument tracks as well. Otherwise it’s pretty nice. Makes me want to dance (which is not a pretty sight). ?
