Yes, a non dirty channel amp. But do everyone a favor and do not amplify your acoustic, DI it. Only buy an acoustic amp if you cannot get your bandmates to control their volume.
Lol, you think an aux send has a headphone pre built into it. That simply won't work bro... or shouldn't. Line level cannot power headphones directly....
Most modern computers have auto select that any output can be switched to mic or line input... bear in mind its -10, for consumer line level. The reason this is important is if you set in to non unity with YOUR gear, you get a higher noise floor. It's a shame that consumer and prosumer line...
Buy a top of the line laptop at a pawnshop for 300 bucks... And quit being afraid of computers. It';s like a guitar player showing up without extra strings, backup everything to usb and it doesn't matter what computer. Don't be scared to join the 21st century...
Never mix totally on headphones... Those 120mm drivers will cloud your brain with more bass than youre mix has. So your resulting mixes will be lacking bass. Settle for Sony 7506 at a Ben Franklin price and you'll be happy. Also bear in mind your paying for QJ's endorsement, much like beats by...
Think there is a definative response to this guys, don't be cowardly...Do what you think sounds right.... Boom, it's mixing AND WE'VE ALL HEARD THE SAME POP SLOP. You have to give the mastering engineer something to work with...
Audix D2, shure b52, or sennheiser d112 or shure b92. Only kick mics, don't do the yamama transdoucher. All the mics I mentioned can be made to sound like the kick you want.
Radio Shack drum mics are better that pyle pro mics, hell it's the same manufacturer as Sennheiser.
German 57. Great mike on anything. Best on vocals, but is de facto gtr 2 and bass mic. Little darker than 57 but more low due to bigger diapraghm. The drawback is the space it takes, get lp drum claws. Also, they've told you about rolloff switch, oh yes, it dies....but be aware of that. Its a...
Man, it sucks getting old. But, there are plenty of famous people that have dealt with what you are going through. MJ was preserved at 35 but we saw his corpse do Black and White. Sorry, too soon?
Pay even closer attention to vocal exercise, you need to work that voice back into shape that that...
Careful, people here tend to want to pull punches, because some folks can't handle it. Even when frequencies and amounts are given...
Vocal very thin, i like the stage they are set on. That panning of piano is cool. but the vocals never really show up, because of the 100% rev-reverb wash over...
I agree, think of that tascam as a very good japanese pre, better than yamaha IMHO, and your mix liz with good brit pre. Both add different engineering ideals.
At any certain times, the human ear can hear the range of 20Hz to 20kHz, however the ear can only hear those extreme frequencies half of the time, AND only when you are born. So slap your mixed being butchered into the 128kb mp3 realm of psycho acoustics... I like how the argument is the human...
I have to disagree with you, its difficult, but not impossible. I've mixed 20 band shows live, and that is far harder to make each band sound different than to check email. Most contestants don't care that it's inconvenient, so nor do I. They get what they ask for, at the very least a properly...
To Sychronia:
Kick gets a little overwhelmed, but I like your base mix. Also, a little top end eq would go a long way to make the whole thing come together. Vocals have it, but the rest is made dark by the lack of. Good work@!
