    The chain

To add to the good info Clivus gave, maybe consider putting your guitar and vocal on separate tracks in Cubase ( if possible)..Record the guitar plugged into the mixer ( with a DI) onto a track as you sing, it won't bleed into your vocal mic track. Now when you play it back, you have control...

Not enough inputs - help! (Not a noob question, either!)

Hello..Have you considered submixing ( stereo pair) of some of the drum mics into two channels of your interface..You get an external small mixer (ie.. Mackie, Yammy, etc.) run the drum mics in to the mixer you wanna submix and send that to the two (2) line input channels ( Panned Left/Right) of...

Do you record better drunk or sober???

No problem..What 31 band EQ did you get..?..The Rane 27 band EQ is pretty decent for cheap..At least it doesn't get in the way of the sound..( beware of EQs or anything else) that messes with your signal in by-pass..!..The White 31 bands graphics are supposed to be really good..Good luck.

    Audio Mixers

Hello..As that mixer will work for what you are asking, if you are not going to be mixing back thru it or using EQ for tracking, why not go with something on the lines of a dedicated mic pre that has instrument DIs built in..If you are not going to be recording many tracks at once, there are...
