On a side note, I bought the Audio Technica 2020 a couple years back when Musician's Friend bundled it with an AT 2021 instrument mic. Great mics. I absolutely love them! Get a Mac and an interface. My PreSonus is wonderful. You'll love it. Don't limit yourself with a piece of hardware.

What would be the one regret I will have down the road if I were to by Logic Express instead of Logic Pro? Is it a $200 regret? And can't I upgrade for about the same price if the regret is a serious one?

i just got the dell catalog not too long ago. there was some pretty sweet machines in there for under $1500. i'd have no problem spending it for you, just no research to back it up. good luck anyway.
