    musicxp tuning tips

I apologize for posting so many "newbie" questions... but things continue to get better for me, so why not keep asking. Ok, here's the problem now. I went to the musicxp tuning tips site, and tweaked all of my settings. But now I am having more problems than I've ever had with dropout. It...

what should I set my buffer latency at?

I have been searching through past posts and have learned a few things. Like: lower latency is good, be can cause drop out... higher latency can cause popping and cracking... is this right so far? I don't know... So, my question basically is what is a good setting for latency. I'm using ASIO...

Hey, once again thanks for all your help... I figured it out... so here it is for future reference if anyone else might be having this problem. Go to Options/Audio/Drivers. Click on all of the highlighted drivers, both in and out, to deselect them. Once they are all deselected, you will then...

    Asio 2.0 problem

moskus... thanks for all your help. I'm still waiting for a reply from creative, and I'm still poking around for the ASIO control panel. I used Cubasis (which was bundled with the card) and it does let me select 24/96... and then I poked around somemore in Sonar, and noticed that under audio...

    Asio 2.0 problem

I'm having a problem with ASIO 2.0 in Cakewalk Sonar 2.2 xl. Sonar is only letting me record at 16/48, when I should be able to record at 24/96. Any suggestions. Yes, I know... I'm using an Audigy 2 Platinum EX... make fun of me... but help me too, please. Oh, and yes, the EX model is...

    sounblaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX

Actually, the Audigy 2 Platinum only has ASIO 1.0. The A2P ex has ASIO 2.0. And I must say that the ex version is the best card for the price right now for recording. It's too bad that people aren't willing to give it a chance based on past soundblaster performance. You're missing out.
