    Cubase-Firebox-MIDI latency issue

I use the firebox. Make sure you are using the emulated ports on it for your input, and you should be fine. I have 0 issues, and have had this setup for 2 years.

shifting by exact ms in Cubase?

Thanks. I HAVE read the manual many times, but I missed this feature. Believe it or not I did not memorize every feature in Cubase :D . Nice graphical assitance though..points coming ..any idea if you can get more precise and down to the decimal? That would be awesome.

shifting by exact ms in Cubase?

I have a delay of 7.80 ms through my amp. If I needed to shift a track by this much..what is the most precise way to do so in SX3?

    Cubase SX Midi delay

You will want to use emulated ports to fix this. Do a search for this in google or on cubase.net. It's a simple solution involving a small file that needs to be moved to a different dir. to work. Once you do this, the emulated ports will appear in your VST connections and once you use them, your...

    syncing audio tracks

Yeah, cant blame the firebox for this one. I have one myself, and it just did not work with my inferior Dell. I got a dual core athlon and it's smooth sailing.

help with reamp as an external effect

Well, your simple response was correct..heh. The thing I had to do was switch the Line in jack on my firebox to line 3..I have no idea why..it makes zero sense to me, but that was the issue. That linein has worked just fine forever when it came to tracking in, but for some reason, it did not...

help with reamp as an external effect

I don't understand. How should I set it instead? I only have the options for line in or SPIDF left and Right..so what should I change?

help with reamp as an external effect

I have a setup like this in cubase: An out of my firebox goes from a TRS cable to the Radial passive reamp box. From there it goes to my pedalboard, then into an amp, into an Audix mic and into my Meek pre. The Meek pre feeds a line input of the firebox. So I have this set as an external...

    Stereo Width

Here's a good way to get depth and not screw up your image:" USe a stereo delay hard panned to each side. EQ it with a HP filter to taste. Put the S1 in at the end and widen the delay. I would never put an S1 on my 2 buss. But when you put it on a hard panned FX send, you can get a super...

    A question about room reflections

I totally missed the Cream reference when it came to the band. It now makes sense. Great band obviously. Im tracking my guitars in at -10 or so. When I mix rock, my kick is usually peaking at -10, and the geetars are around -20ish after EQ, comp..etc. I just dont see the need to track hotter...

    A question about room reflections

You know when you go to Starbucks and order coffee, and they are like "do you want room for cream?" Dude..there is no room for cream if you go for the hottest signal when you track!!!!

Bass issue making me crazy...(phase related)

Im still using the ol ears along with a visual cue from some spikes I made, and I think I got it. It appears to be around less then half an MS off after alignment. The transient spike does work, but just as a ballpark figure. The tone is there now..and it is worth the hassle..but im going to...

Bass issue making me crazy...(phase related)

No you are right. What I can do when I get my reamp box is send out of my Firebox and make that out an External FX channel. I can then send it back thorugh my mic and that will calculate the delay..that will not help me with my bass DI though, because the routing is different. Also, if I do...

Bass issue making me crazy...(phase related)

I have a sub and decent monitors..I really want to upgrade to some NS10s because I know those babies well. I have mixed in this room for a while...so it's not the issue. For this issue, Im using some Sony headphones back and forth with my monitor.

Bass issue making me crazy...(phase related)

Wade..I can definitley Reamp..I have my radial DI coming in soon. If I do reamp though through my amp..won't I be dealing with the same latency issue?
