Do you guys think 4 mics is enough to record drums? One for kick, one for snare, and 2 overheads? or should I put one in the middle of the toms and have just 1 overhead?

It's the only way (i've figured out) how to record. I wanted to be able to just go straight from the delta 66 soundcard and not even have to fool with the soundblaster.(I was just gonna use the soundblaster for playback)

grrr Ok about the recording issue...I've been having to plug a 1/4 to 1/8 cable from the output in my delta 66 box to the line in on the soundblaster soundcard. Is this hurting my sound in anyway...it seems like it should be. I can't figure out how to record right off the delta 66. Hewp meh...

Where do you plug the microphone to etc, etc. I have a delta 66 and I hope to save up for some mic's in the near future. I'm thinking there's something more than just going from the mic directly to the delta 66 or maybe im just wrong? Thanks!

I tried plugging going from my rp100 to the adapter (1/4 inch to 3.5 mm) to my line in. It sounded horrible, wasn't loud at all, and sound only came out on the left side (no it not panned left either). If I get a pre-amp what exactly will it do? I would still have to run it thru the adapter...
