    oh god please help

Things to check: See if your heat sink fan is not clogged up with dust. If it is, get a vacuum cleaner out and clean it. You may have to remove the fan and physically wipe the heat sink clean. Defragment your hard drive. How large is your main drive? If it is more than 70% full that could be...

    High-pitched whine

Hey sorry for not getting back to you. If you are using the Pod, you may want to try using the pad switch. Otherwise, there may be feedback from your guitar? Just taking stabs here. From what I can tell, you are still dealing with a feedback loop.

    High-pitched whine

For the OP. I thought this might interest you. Watch at around 1:00 they mention the whine from internal components. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lod76otHYes&feature=related

    High-pitched whine

Just to eliminate the obvious, you don't have a mic near by and your monitors set at a fairly loud level?

What about physical routing? What are you plugging into? Are you using a mixer? There is an output that is feeding an input somewhere.

Who Is Better Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page

....Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jose Feliciano. Hey if we're going to discuss handicaps why not Beethoven too? Edit: errrr typos.

    High-pitched whine

If the sound continues to get louder, there is a feedback loop somewhere. You'll have to go through your routing, physical and virtual, to figure it out.

Who Is Better Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page

Fortunately for us, music is not a game. It's entertainment and as much as I love jazz, many people hate it. Does that make Jazz "worse" than Rap? Yeah, go ahead and argue that point. Just because something is popular that does not make it better. Meth is popular too. I am the biggest Zeppelin...

    MIDI controller? Sounds to keyboard?

You need a virtual instrument to be involved. I won't go any further than that. My suspicion is that you are using pirated software. Otherwise, you would have read the manual and this would all be clear. Sorry, I don't aid pirates. That is just my personal ethic.

    MIDI controller? Sounds to keyboard?

You don't put sounds in a midi keyboard. You use the keyboard to control sounds in Acid Pro. Have you read the manual to either of these?

Studio Projects B3 or CAD M179?

Well. I stand corrected there don't I? LOL. Regarding the amp well that was my experience with SMT and a very hot MOSFET transistor. I was building my own effects at the time and I'm sure that didn't help any. Fortunately we're not talking about amps(with the exception of my tirade). The ROSS...

Who Is Better Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page

Page and Hendrix were both great for different reasons. Hendrix is an incredible rhythm guitarist. I don't much like it when he solos crazy. I love it when he does those really melodic solos. (ie: Wind Cries Mary) It's his rhythm playing, songwriting that make him unique though to my ears...

Studio Projects B3 or CAD M179?

The C1 is a good mic, however Rode mics are NOT made in China. They are made in Sydney Austrailia. One of the reasons they are so inexpensive is that they are made using surface mounted circuitry. My big concern with this is heat. I would want to make sure the room is well air conditioned...

Studio Projects B3 or CAD M179?

Right. I was looking for the original V67G not the Q. I still think the Rode NT1000 is your best bet under $500.00(each). Probably the closest you will get to owning a U87 without actually buying one.

Studio Projects B3 or CAD M179?

Well, I can't say I've used one of these but I hear a lot of good things about the V67Q and they are relatively cheap. Two of those for under $500 ain't bad. I've owned a SP B1 and although it was nice, I wasn't particularly impressed. Have you considered any of the Rode line? Rode NT1A is a...

does the behringer xenyx 802 come with a usb audio interface?

Two things you need to ask yourself: 1) Do you really need a mixer? I cvan answer that one for you. The answer is NO! What you need is an audio interface. A mixer looks pretty but it's pretty well pointless unles you plan on mixing all your tracks to the stereo bus and sending that to disc...

    Behringer U-CONTROL or M-Audio Oxygen ?

Nothing at all wrong with Avid. There was a time though when their support was not so great. In the past decade they've improved though, by leaps and strides. It's the other guys, Bearstringer, that are infamous for cheap products and patent infringement. Once a product has been taken off the...

    Behringer U-CONTROL or M-Audio Oxygen ?

And, if you've ever owned a Beh... product you will also come to appreciate that the M-Audio is not a Behr... Support is much better. Even though it is Avid. Their customer support has com a long way.

Best Mic Pre under $300 Poll..

You talk a lot man. I never said anything bad about Eddie Kramer. We are comparing a free plugin to a $1000+ software package from Waves. There is no comparison. Waves wins hands down. Mind you they weren't using a cheap $500 interface. There was a full console in use. (edit: I shouldn't have...
