I demo'ed the 8.2 last week and was shocked at how bad they sounded!
Now I'm expecting to get murdered here but I'll continue. (I am not trying to put you off just sharing experiences)
OK. The demo was in a shop demo room. Very little acoustic treatment. Speakers were too far apart. BUT. I...
There's no reason why it should damage your amp. Just make sure to start off at a very ow volume when you plug it in.
As for the sound... not my cup of tea. It may sound bareable but it won't sound as sweet at through an acoustic amp. It depends what sound you want.
That was with the man power included. I'm still going to update but I'll try to fix them first via a 'normal' electrical repair company and sell them (cheap!) and use the money to go towards the new KRK V6. :o
Hi Axis,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my problem.
The thump which you discribe has also happened to me since I've had the speakers. The thump which is causing the cutoff doesn't kick-in until after a minute or so.
A user on another forum recommended a bloke who is an official...
The mopads do make a big difference over resting speakers (especially those!!) on a wooden desk/shelf. Before you put them under your speakers the wood would have been resonating at a low mid frequency. This would have supported your guitar sound making it sound fatter. With the mopads this...
One small tip - keep questions informed but as concise as possible... people love to give stick :p
I'll suggest it before the others get their teeth into ya... go to the search section and type in "compressor". You can even narrow down the search to recording techniques.
There is more...
Hi
This is my first complaint about the Truths they have served me well until now.
My Truths are the original (B2301 not the B2301A) and they've been great... well, ok anyway.
Everytime I power up the speakers after a minute or so (without any audio playing) the right one pops and BANG...
The singer I'm working with at the moment has no idea I'm doing this but...
He has REALLY bad Redlightfever. As soon as it goes on he starts trying too hard. I set him up in the pitch black studio (and he still has his shades on! Singers!! ) I get him to sing through a few...
get the signal split on the way in and run one direct into the desk. These signals are usually cleaner and you can mix them together to add clarity that can get lost in amps/micing.
...my 2c :)
swearing drumkit.
A sampling assignment at college and too much time on my hands... just think of it
Bass Drum - Bum
Snare - Twat!
Hihat - Tits
Tom roll - BuggeryBuggery
Floor tom - C**t - Sorry, I hate that word
Revers cymbol - Sshhit
Triggered it as a complex drum solo - herbally...
Well, it's not ideal (the snare drum sounds like a plastic tub) but it's pseudo stereo and I've popped a touch of my favourite IR-1 drum booth verb on it too to add a little something to the hats.
Let me know what you think of it?
I hope it helps :D
The link should be in your mailbox...
just being picky... tune the guitars.
Just grates a little.
my 2c... get a cheapish condenser mic if you want to really make a difference in recording quality. Studio Projects B1 - a huge inprovement.
Great song though and I too love the harmony. ;)
