i know that this topic may have already been covered, but i searched and couldn't solve my problem anyway...
here's the trouble: i have downloaded some .sf2 files and i really love them. i have played them in the creative keyboard thing and they work.
i want to use them in pro audio 9.
i...
badly mastered: californication indeed, and "showbiz" by muse
the best master i've stmbled across so far was jeff buckley's "grace".
the peaks are not hot at all, but it sounds great to me.
when i use cubase, and i set sound forge as the external editor, and i choose to edit a file, it opens sound forge, but it says that theres an error and it wont let me edit the file.
i dont know what im doing wrong... the same thing works perfectly with cakewalk...
and: how can i send to sound...
this is a golden question.... i am in a veeeery similar situation.
on one side, having the mackie and the delta would be a lot more versatile and maybe a little cheaper (even if i dont think so), and you get excellent preamps.
but, with the aardvark things become a lot easier (you can save...
just a quick question:
as i dont have much money left, can i use my hi-fi power amp with the tone controls set flat to drive reference monitors, and get decent results?
or do i need a dedicated unit?
and would a 160 Watts power amp be good to drive a 100 W (or less) speaker? thanks a lot!
i've looked at samson and they dont look good to me. still, i understand i should HEAR them.
nady's mixers, insted, look like what i was looking for.
but i cant find prices for nady...

he whispers and at times he shouts.
of course, running the mic directly in the mixer and then in my computer, i get very annoying distortion problems all the time.
i was wondering if a compressor...
thank you all guys for helping! i think i'll go for the nt3.
i read a post a few weeks ago about the nt3 sounding very good on vocals too, so i'm positive now.
i'll close mic the amp with the 57 and get the room from the nt3.
my home studio is now almost finished. i just have to choose the...
i play electric guitar and i'm planning to buy a new mic (i already have a 57 and a 58) to record good vocals, to use as a drum overhead and, possibly, to record guitar amps.
i've heard rode nt1 and i really like it, but many people are advising the nt3, saying it's more versatile.
i've read...
