I'm almost postive that the FD-8 can only record two tracks at a time. I have one but I have not tried to record more then one track at a time as of yet.

Any one else have a FD-8? If so , why does the unit have what seems to be a mono effects send and a stereo(or left and Right) returns? When I hook up my effects unit and run back through my FD-8 I loose the stereo effect. What I'm saying is that when I turn up the effects return the tracks start...

Make sure the tracks that you are not recording on are in the "safe mode". Do you have a manual?

I have to agree and disagree with foo. Yeah the American Strat has better wood and so on but if the Mexican Strat is in your budget go for it. I have one and I'm really happy with it.

I've been recording with my Strat threw a Boss VF-1. Its has several acoutic simulator settings. I go direct to my FD-8 and I've been really suprised with the sound.
