    Acousticy Thing

Please have a listen to my acousticy thing and let me know what you think. I know there's some timing issues, I'm not going for ana very produced sound, not quite lo-fi but sort of retro and a bit raw. Many thanks. 03 - Moving On (Again) - Cirrus - In The Clouds by Company of Artful Jesters on...

    Acoustic singer/songwriter.

Can you keep the 'scratch' vocals and play him a mix using those, to compare to the overdubbed mixes and see if he realises the scrath mixes are better. It's hard to say without hearing the produced version, but I like these versions, and I tend to prefer rawer recordings with flaws over...

"Following Light", original hard rock waltz

As usual with your stuff I can not fault it. Really like this, reminds me of Yes in parts. Love the growley bass.

Oh yeah, liked the stereo thingy on the guitar solo.

New Rock Band Needs Feedback On Recording... Also FREE DOWNLOAD!

Great riff. Like the feel. Good song. Would agree about the kick. Little too much top end?

    Pop tune?!?

Nice song. I also noticed the snare thing (before I read skineejoe's comment). it's not major, but I did notice it. Like the lead guitar tone, it reminds me of the lead guitar on The Song Remains The Same.

    Creep Steve

Definitely see the Dylanesque and Floyd hints. Like the guitar thing that happens at 1:39. Lots of nice guitar things going off. Vocals could come up a touch as you said. Not sure what you meant by smeared? I prefer real drums, even badly recorded real drums to processed drums, but the drums...

    Classic Rock - The King

Nice feel. I went straight to the link without reading the comments and straight away though Trower. Bass is nice and punchy. Would have liked some reverb or a long delay on the vocals, a little bit of top on the drums (drums are something I have a problem with, but yours sound better than mine).

    Lonely Rider by Hazzard Kounty

Like this a lot. Great vocals, I like the way the song builds and falls. Nice guitar solo. Like the surprise ending. Alternative country got me curious. If you'd said southern rock this is more what I would have expected. Forgive my ignorance but what's the difference?

    Opinions? Constructive Criticism

Let me start of by saying that I couldn't produce anything this good at 16 (and not much better now), so well done. Just echo a few things others have already said, vocals a little too up front and the cymbals are a little too loud and the snare too quiet. How did you track your drums, will you...

Rough mix, can I have your thoughts/advice

Like the hendrixy guitar. A little too compressed for me, but very nice. Like the harmony parts alot.

    Please critique my two mixes

Ditto with the 2nd link. Like the song and the lo-fi mix, though I would like a bit more bass.

    A nice acoustic Instrumental

Nice and mellow. I do like it as an instrumental, but have you thought og putting some vocals on it?

"High Time", an acoustic ballad to the road trip

This is great. Song, recording, performance. Definitely agree with the zep CSNY direction. Like the percussion.

    Another One for Final Check

Like this just as it is. I think the no percussion decision is the right one.

What are the copyright rules here?

I live in the UK and have never been asked for a set list - that's in pubs and smaller clubs. I think in the UK the venue pays for a licence but don't have to list individual songs, I think I have some recordings and songs which I co-wrote with some others, who I have lost contact with - do I...

Jess Akeem - Dreamin (Feedback For Feedback)

I like your rapping voice, it mellow. I like the choice of samples but to me they don't seem to loop quite right, like they're edited wrong, or not long enough/too long for the bar. Other than that pretty good.

    All The Good Men

Sounds too compressed to me, what do you mean when you say you had to compress it to make it fit? Sounds a little lacking in top end, that could be becasue of the compression. Like the lead guitar tone. Vocals seem a tinsy too up front. Like the busy bass. Drums are nice and tight and well balanced.
