Electrovoice RE20 is the mic you want for multipurpose on vocals and kick drum. The Heil PR30/PR40 might also be worth considering, but I haven't personally used them.

There are many stereo bars out there with different design features, so it's hard to answer your question without knowing which bar(s) you are considering. In general, the biggest limitation will be how far apart you can place the mics for a spaced pair. For coincident and near-coincident...

You can get a used Ludwig Acrolite snarefrom the 70s/80s for around $100. The ones from the 60's are around $125-150. Solid drum. As the others have said, don't cheap out on cymbals. Buy one at a time...and buy used if you can.

If you have a mic you like, soundwise, buy a better stand rather than a new mic. That being said, the afforementioned EV dynamics are nice. I'd add the RE16 to that list.

You might want to read the manual. Also, read up on gain staging. OPL is the output limiter. It keeps the output signal from clipping. If you turn up the gain enough, it will kick in. The +20 dB does not have to be on. It depends on the sensitivity of your microphone and how you have the gain...

AKG C414 is used a fair amount on amps for live and recording. Audio Technica AT4050 or CAD M179 would be lower budget choices. However, like the others, I'd recommend a dynamic. I'm really loving my Shure SM7B right now on amps, but I'm still in the honeymoon phase.

A pair of the Naiant MSH-1 omnis and a CAD M179 would be a great start to a small home studio.

Mic 2 is much better on the vocal. Probably not a night and day difference in the context of a mix, but it doesn't have the midrange haze of Mic 1. I'm guessing 2 is the C414. The guitar track is more subtle, but I still think 2 is quite a bit better.

You cannot put 8 hours of audio on a single audio CD. You'll have to break it up and put no more than 80 min on each disk.

Get a used pair of Shure SM81's (Shure doesn't match them, but they are pretty consisitent) and a pair of the Naiants.
