Thanks ethryvalve,
I did´nt win the Auction. Got abit too expensive. I think I am going to wiat it out a bit and maybe get some better Speakers next. Tascam boards are on Ebay all the time here.
What Bands are you recording at the moment?
Can you tell which Motor was used? I have several Fostex machines. E2 B16D E 8
They all use the same Capstan Motor which is a Print Motor. UGPMEE-09-FX12 .
If it is this one it may be repairable. If it is the Brushes that have worn out in the Motor.
The motor Manufacturer is Yaskawa. Is it this...
Are you monitoring the vocal part while you are singing? If you turn off the monitoring button (I think it´s a brown speaker in Cubase) you wont hear your voice through Cubase as you sing but you will hear the playback track you are singing to. This may also help.
Thinking about buying a TASCAM M16 Mixer for Analog Recording. Anyone out there with experience on this ? Is it a good Mixer?
Any opinions on this Mixer?
THanks
Making Progress..
the E2 is working well after replacing the Capstan Motor with the Motor from the B16D.
