    The infamous front door.

Thanks for those links Jake - the trendy look around here is colour rendered brick with natural timber windows and doors so being sub tropical climate the sun is pretty strong, but I suspect Hawai is similar ;) thanks John.

    probably really stupid

I suppose it really depends on the type of mattress. Foam used in mattresses is not the same foam used by auralex but it will have some absorption properties, so yes it will work but not as well as the proper stuff ;) cheers john

    Soffits for my HR824's...

It's not so much the power amps - you can ventilate for that - it's the rear passive radiator that could create a problem. I said COULD create a problem - as yet no ones done it so we don't know. Bryan Giles (Giles117) is building a room now and we are going to try it :):) will let you know how...

    sloped ceilings

By moving the gear you will place yourself more central within the room and evenly spaced from any side reflections. By treating the wall behind you (i.e. covering with some 703, doors and all ) youwill stop the rear reflections from returning back to you. cheers john

    sloped ceilings

well you room is basically square and I assume that there is either brick or tile around the woodstove?? If you deaden the right wall (maybe move the bookcases there) and treat around the doors so that what is behind you when sitting at your desk is dead. cheers john
