Taylor's new Neve designed "Expression System"

Has anyone got to play with one of the new Taylors with the multi transducers and Neve designed preamp on board? I know for most things nothing is going to beat micing a good acoustic guitar in a good room through a good mic preamp but this could have some uses for recording mixed in with the...

    Building NEW bass!

Bassbasher, Tarticus is right I would definitely go the premade body already routed if I was going to do it again. Thank you! I had kind of hoped my original thread that I linked would get an interesting thread going on home built guitars and basses but it never really got off the ground.

    Building NEW bass!

I did a fretless neck through from a Carvin neck blank and got the wood for the body wings from StewMac...figured maple sold as rough cut neck blanks. You need access to a serious planer and a router to go that route and I never got the pick up cavities routed very staight...lack of experience...

    Wharfedale Diamond Pro Monitors

If you read this thread closely the 8.2's are the ones getting the great reviews not the 8.1's. Deepwater could probably tell you the specific differences from the 8.1's and 8.2's but the 8.2's score much higher that the 8.1s

Toslink to Digital RCA yes or no can do?

Your mission is to help me connect a Roland SRV-3030D with digital RCA connectors to my Yamaha AW16G with Toslink connectors utilizing the digital aux in and out. Yeah the balanced cables are just going to help with removing noise and that usually happnes more with longer runs of cable. The noise thing can depend on your equipment, grounding, clean electrical supply and your proximity to FM noise generators among other things. I had the same problem at...

Lambo, I am looking at the Roland 30 for Christmas but have also heard some good things about the small Vox...Pathfinder or somehting. What did you compare the Roland 30 with? I plan on trying both out at GC but trying to get some additional input by owners. Thanks

    Wharfedale Diamond Pro Monitors

That is a reasonable request but unfortunately not too likely to be awnsered knowledgably....They are most likely fairly similiar and targetd to the same market meaning you probably not going to find anyone with both of them at the same to A/B. Also somehwere in this thread Deepwater indicated...
