Newbie Question on best option from Roland 5050 to AW16G.

I did a search on this and found two analogue options but most of the posts were 2002 and 2003 and I have a third digital option here. I am loving alot of the sounds of the 5050 through the headphones but as you know going straight into the 16G does not sound so good. Three options I see for...

Marshall revives the V77s Tube Mic in a newly designed body...

P.S. The GC June Summer savings flyer is listing the MXL 9000 Tube Condensor for sale at $199. Is it the private label 67t or not? Those of you who know Scott etc at MXL please find out for me ASAP.

Marshall revives the V77s Tube Mic in a newly designed body...

kidvybes, How would you compare the V77's with the V69ME? Obviously you like the 77's a little better. I was thinking of picking up a V69 and it would be my one tube mic but if the 76t is indeed as good as the 77 is it worth waiting for? Also how would you describe the typical difference...

Anyone using the new ART T8?

This sounds like it could be usefull for me with signal routing... has anyone tried this product or heard anything. It is an 8 channel single rack space signal dustribution device with eight individual transformers. http://www.musiciansbuy.com/QUIKLOK_T8_KYBD_STAND_.html The part that sounds...

    Which Drum Machine?

I have the DR-5 and the DR-880. The DR-5 sounds are a little dated but you get three other channels of squenced instruments ie you could program a bass line under a blues shuffle and add some keys while you wail on your solo's. Nice for song writing and practice. I found it less than adequate...

    Ambient micing?

Sorry. I have not been here in several month b/c of the kind of crap DJL is pulling on one of the most respectable gentlemanly people here and my first time back he is at it again. I too fell again to the bait of the resident troll and self appointed spam police etc. Back to lurk and ignore...

    Ambient micing?

[ Good point. This place had already dropped to third on my list b/c of the DJL type of badgering but I occasionally drop in for researching some stuff with the search feature. It is David's place as you said.

    Ambient micing?

Don't worry Harvey, You have earned most members respect here while most prefer to ignore DJL. You have contributed knowledgable and usefull information while DJL has mostly offered a bad attitude. If you insist on leaving then start your own forum without DJL and most of us will follow you...

    Just bought an M-Audio Tampa

I just ran some DI bass today from my SWR pre into the Tampa and I could not believe the difference the impedance settings made in volume and tone. There is plenty gain adjustment to work with using the +20dB -20 dB pad and the impedance selector.

    Ambient micing?

I would like to know this as well however I am kinda thinking getting good ambient sounds will depend on having a good sounding room to pick up those ambient sounds. Perhaps it would be good to include in the discussion or in another thread how to create good ambient sounds at home to mic.

    Deepwater

Jeez people I really don't think he was bragging....he is just celebrating. Most of us post threads about our new gear because we are excited and want to share our enthusiasm... I will never be able to afford a high dollar Ferrari or Porcshe but if I won one somhow you better believe I would...

    Deepwater

That is indeed unfortunate and would upset me as well. It sure does not sound at all like the guy I dealt with. He answered all my PM and personal e-mails with in one to three days as well as giving me a "free upgrade" when one of the items I ordered was discontinued for the higher priced...

    Q:The BEST Acoustic/Electric for $1000 ??????

Well if we are going out of my price range I would go straight to an Olsen or a Lowden. I believe I will be quite content with my Larrivee (unless I win the lotto).

    Q:The BEST Acoustic/Electric for $1000 ??????

FWIW I picked up a Larrivee LV-03 cutaway without the factory installed electronics. Rosewood sides and back, spruce top and man this thing projects a beautiful tone. The owner of the local Larrivee dealer recomended not getting one with an extra hole cut into the side and adding the B-band...

Online "Blue Book" prices for used gear.

Okay I have spent over an hour searching this whole BBS because I found it here once before and bookmarked it...but that was before my hard drive died.... Anyway I know there was at least one site a guy maintained that tracked sale prices of used recording gear and musical instruments from...

    Xpression vs Fishman Blend

Doing some research and found several threads here covering this but thought I would ask for some updates. I am in the market for a used Taylor, Larivee etc and for the most part the new ES system seems to be running at least a 2:1 to 3:1 not so good or not as good as the Fishman system that...

    Q:The BEST Acoustic/Electric for $1000 ??????

Reviving this thread with a question. Been looking at the Taylor, Larivee, Lowden etc websites at models but plan on going with a used one. At which model number (price point) do you get a "compromised" Taylor or Larivee in tone, contruction and playability wise? I like the small to medium...
