hey dragon, thanks! yep, i picked up a cd audio extractor and all is well. and i found the bandwidth settings under the preferences menu in real producer g2. i think i was trying to do all this too late at night :-) or too early :-) i have all my audio files converted to .ra files now. tonight...

    real audio/real producer g2 problems

hey zach, thanks! that was exactly my point. it just seemed goofy to me that you couldn't simply take the audio from the computer's internal cd player. now i understand about getting it into .wav format. tho it still seems strange that real producer can't do what the freeware mp3 programs will...

    real audio/real producer g2 problems

thanks darius! wow, that seems so strange that it wouldn't be able to simply make the conversion from the cd player. by running it through a mixer and then back into the cpu, it's going to go through more d/a/a/d conversions and sound even worse. are there any other programs out there that will...

    AKG C3000 vs. Rode NT1

if i'm not mistaken, they're different animals. isn't a c3000 a small diaghram as compared to the large diaghram rode nt1 and 2? if i could only buy one, i'd go for the rode. hope this helps, tony

    Octava MK012

i use them for drum overheads as well, but they're also good for much more. try using them on any acoustic stringed instrument. i have two and use them to stereo mic everything from guitars, violins, pianos, etc. they also make great live recording mics. someone was selling omni caps for these...

    cd-r mastering

thanks for the reply! if i'm not mistaken, data should be fine as this would be a 'master' taken to a mastering house. if i wanted to prepare a master using my daw and cd-r to be sent directly to a cd duplictor, you're saying this wouldn't be good. is that right? is this because as audio it can...

    cd-r mastering

hey folks, nearing the end of my research on setting up my first daw and i'm to the point of mastering. i already have a panasonic sv-3500 dat deck left over from the adat based studio, but as i wanted to be able to burn cd's anyway, mastering to cd-r seems a better choice. i read all of...
