I think Sonic is right. You can only record 2 tracks (well.. one stereo track) at the same time with the USB 2.0 version. I have a firewire MultiMix, and you are 'supposed' to be able to track up to 4 tracks at a time with it. That's why i paid the extra money to get the firewire version...

I had one for a while and loved it! I think i had the 312. Relatively lightweight but still had the power for the speakers. One feature that was AWESOME handy, but i think it is NOT on the 'lowest' model (the 212) was a one knob compression effect. Obviously not as flexible as it could be...

I have the tapco 120, and an Alesis Firewire 8 channel mixer. I find that i get a good sound out of the Tapco, and would recommend it against anything else in that price range that I've ever tried. Wouldn't worry about noisy preamps.

yeah.. i'd guess your email server is stuck in a loop. If you can log in through a web interface, go in and delete that message/others that you have already received. It seems like the email server things you haven't got the message yet, and keeps trying to send it to you.

Yeahh... here's my story with that exact mixer. bought it, was not able to get the firewire to work. Call them.. spent a few hours.. no resolution. Changed my firewire card in computer. Changed the firewire cable. Still not working. Called the vendor i purchased from.. could not fix it...

no comment on the Pod XT .. but i have used my TonePort UX2 with Cubase LE and Reaper.. love it! It also came with ..umm.. Adobe Live? maybe.. but i've never tried it. Can you use the Pod XT with the Line6 Gearbox or Ampfarm software?

There's a pretty good, long manual on the CD that you install Cubase LE from. Have you been through that yet? It explains the stuff better and in more detail than i could....

did you change anything? (software, hardware, settings, breakfast routine, etc..) Also.. what kind of hardware, interface, instruments you using? What's the signal path look like?
