    compression question

No, you are not on the right track. The problem that you describe is an EQ problem at the bass amp. you do not have a balanced tone. You must balance your tone FIRST before you ever record, then you must check its balance in the monitors before you track, to make sure your recording device isnt...

How do you control the volume of your Active studio monitors?

I had the same problem, and my soloution is this. I inserted a behringer compressor between my output of my HD24 and the active monitors, set the ratio to 1:1 (no compression) then simply use the output level knob (volume knob) to adjust volume as needed. Oh yeah, i coupled the channels...

the easiest way would be to put a set of tilt back legs on the rack... like the old fender twin amps... they were built onto the sides of the amp.

Please Help Me Hook up my Compressor!

uhhh.... am I the only one that noticed he said he plugged the TS ends into "left" and "right" "outputs"? one of the TS ends would need to go to an "input" and the other to an "output" of the same channel.

Who would like to master my album?

you can certainly tell chessrock is from the chicago area, as every one that I have know from that area talks and acts the same way, I know that is a huge generalization, but most people that I have seen and heard from that area are that way. I guess its just natural for someone that lives in...
