    Tommy Igoe - Groove Essentials

Anybody used this instructional dvd/cd/book combo. I've read lots of good reviews on it but havent talked to anyone who has used it. I would rate myself as an intermediate drummer (played guitar all my life) and I would really like to perfect all the standard beats but also really keen to get...

    Did I miss something...rep points

Thankyou Greg L . I will now look like a very intelligent and helpful contributer. But, I was at 6006 and now I am at 35000, that is 6 times. Who influenced your style?

I guess we can safely assume then, that because Jaco played the drums on that album , he aint in hell. It would also appear that if you listen to that album, you dont go to hell. Absolved of all wrong doing, kinda like a catholic confessional.

    Who influenced your style?

Ive got that album on a cassette somewhere. I'll have to dig it up. I've listened to it lots of times mainly for his bass playing but now I will check out the drumming, also I don't wanna go to hell. Thanks for the info.

Is a 50 watt Marshall loud enough?

yes but no inhaling and no swallowing, and only as a lesson to lesser mortals as to the dangers of such undisciplined activities

    wood, plastic or foam beaters?

Any good taxidermist can get that thing erect for you, gives a woodier type of wump. circumsized is better, to get that separate stalk/head sort of thing. dont want the stalk hitting the skin.
