Fixing a chip in the finish of a guitar

Exactly! My number one guitar has a couple chips as well. But I know how they got there. I put them them there. I don't know though. you guys got me thiking again with the decal thing. There may be something I could do about it. Not a sticker but possibly something else. Here is the listing...

Fixing a chip in the finish of a guitar

Thanks, After dwelling on it a bit more last night I was leaning towards leaving it be. And now I think that is just what I will do. It's a good deal, but it's still a PRS so it isn't cheap. And I know that chip is going to bug the crap out of me considering the amount of money I would have to...

Fixing a chip in the finish of a guitar

I found a good price on a nice Paul Reed Smith. Problem is it's got a chip in the finish I'd say about 1/4 the size of a dime. Goes all the way down to the Maple. It does have some other more natural wear, but it still looks good with the exception of the chip. Now, I don't expect that it...

mesa boogie mark iic vs mark iv

+1 I hang out on "The Boogie Board" a lot and it seems most of the guys over there actually prefer the tone of the Marl III over the Mark IV. And these are guys who have owned both.

Any Recommendations on an inexpensive TRUE BYPASS Tuner Pedal

That seems to be the one I am leaning towards

Any Recommendations on an inexpensive TRUE BYPASS Tuner Pedal

I was looking at that one, but it didn't say it was true bypass. I want to make sure there is no tone loss at all when the pedal is disengaged. Do you noticed any loss in signal strength or tone when not engaged?

Any Recommendations on an inexpensive TRUE BYPASS Tuner Pedal

Any Recommendations on an inexpensive TRUE BYPASS Tuner Pedal. I would like to spend no more then 100$, prefereably less. I found this one here, but don't know if it is any good. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Korg-pitchblack-Chromatic-Pedal-Tuner-104835434-i1386425.gc

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

Even if I can get the LP up to snuff, I'll still buy another guitar :p (and still keep the LP) And I am definately going to get something with the smaller scale neck.

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

Thanks for the feedback. You have given me hope! I do love the love the look. And I love the neck. It is just basically all the same issues you had that are driving me up the wall.

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

By quality I mean a lot of the things it seems you had an issue with as well, plus maybe one other. I actually love the dark Mahogony look. My main problems are a). It does not stay in tune for more then a song, b)fretbuzz. With regard to staying in tune, it comes with the deluxe tuners. When...

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

Hmmm, That's a nice looking guitar as well! Hamer is definately out of my proce range. I would by an ESP Eclipse and pull out the EMG's and throw in some Seymour Duncans before I go that route.

    ESP Eclipse-II VB

Great quality from ESP. Especially if it is an ESP and not an LTD. Not putting LTD down, there are some great LTD guitars out there, but there are some not so great as well. Where yuo know if it says ESP you are getting a hand made instrument. I tried two out this week. I tried a new ESP II...

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna try to swing by guitar center this weekend and try one out. It looks a lot different then I am used to. But if it plays well I can probably get past that. In fact I am not interested in a tremolo. I rarely use it.

    Guitars with smaller scale necks

I have a Japanese made ESP and a Les Paul Studio. I am thinking of adding to the stable. The ESP is of much higher quality then my Les Paul. The Les Paul is the mohagony studio model. I'm not crazy about the Les Paul for a lot of reasons, but there is one thing about the Les Paul compared to...

    Mesa Boogie

I have that same amp (I assume it is a version 1, no way you got a RoadKing 2 for 1400). I love it! I have never had an amp that did so many different things so well. A lot of times you sacrifice tone for versatility. Not in this case! Progressive linkage and cabinet switching rules. I have...

    Carvin Amps

I can't speak for the V3, but I did own a Carvin MTS3200, and I thought it was one of the most underated amps I had ever played.

    What's your favorite Guitar tone/sound?!

For me, my favorite guitar tone off an album came from a Japanese band out of the 80's with probably one of the most underated guitarists on the planet. Loudness, anything on "Lightning Strikes". Akira Takasaki. His tone was phenominal. I know he used Mesa and Marshall's modified by Lee...

    i want a new head

Can the Windsor do Metal? Never heard it so I don't know, maybe so. I have heard the Valve King and while I think it was a decent sounding amp, I don't think it handles metal well (IMO). 6505 is a great sounding amp that IMO would not only do it, but do it extremely well.
