someone told me that the vestax pdx 2000 have reported problems of loose platters, i can see this a little on mine but aren't they all a bit wobbley? i hope this isn't the case and it's ruining my needles and gonna force me to buy a 1200 or another vestax.......

the only thing in the manual remotely close is it says that the needle has to be 50 mm from the end of tonearm to needle, i have done this..... it's like the needle is bent just a bit, it plays for a second then skips every second playing the same thing..... ahhhhhhhhhh!

thanks for tryin man but iv'e done all of that..... the vestax is straight tone arm so it is anti skip.... i got the weight , heighth, length, all set right, something is still not...... at best i get it to play good for a few seconds, then static, then skipping repeating itself, maybe i have...

i mean it continuously plays the same 3 second loop wherever i drop the needle.....

sorry about that... yeah it's not hitting the groove right....... you should be able to use any cartridge right? it hits the groove and plays for a few seconds then it repeats the same 3 second loop.

ive changed many brands an speeds.... verbatims 1-16x is what i used to use always, then i tried verbatims 1-32x and thats when everything went wrong, i have got some memorex to work but not all....

i have both nero and ecdc5 and neither of them will read blank cd's.... now all it's doing is writing table of contents and then freezing forcing u to quit and ruin a cd..... is there a connection somewhere i can check that might cure reading errors?

for like a month now ive been having trouble with my burner not being able to read blank cds, i had easy cd creator 4 when it started then i took it to best buy and they put ecdc5 on and its still doing it, currently i'm getting the table of contents to burn but no further, before ive got error...
