if were not suppose to dither befor sending to mastering do we turn it off before burning cd -or if its 24 bit recording and we save as data file is ther dithering i think sonar dithers when recording "to enhance sound" how do we avoid it and is it real important

thanks actually auto save did work (thankfully) and i had so many versions of song i couldn't find right one now i like auto save and reccommend it

i use it and have a couple of song that "lost their way" when i click the auto save copy it doesn't load the song up but goes to audio folder where there is a hodgepoge of song files some look like the ones i need -how do i send them back home were they belong-each file has effects etc - is...

be very careful when you delete the one track you want to -other tracks mysteriously also get deleted- the same goes for archiving -don't know why but im not alone in this painful discovery

apparently the side chaining feature (for ducking) only work on a stereo track which seem useless for ducking instrments from vocal why would they bother to claim sidechaining when it can't be sent to other tracks how do you record two instuments on a single stereo track? - and why didn't...

when i use 2 monitors consul view shows 3 panes: 1) tracks 2) a,b aux1 and 2, 3)410- 123 and 410 -345(my soundcard is 410 m-audio I was assuming that the middle pane "a" was what would be "recording" what the mix was when exporting but now i'm not so sure When i put a "track inspector"...

is there a way of copying and pasting into the middle of a song 4 measures of all track at the same time- -note -the song needs a place for a lead to go in

tryed earlier versions but had to paste thanks i pasted one track at a time and it does work -in the future wish i could paste all tracks at once Sonar 4 should have a "eject seat button" which automatically cuts and pastes to new project when its being tempermental (showing its personallity)

one project (song) plays but when I try and close it it causes sonar to crash -even when opened in safe mode (all plugin disabled !) is there some way of retrieving all the tracks to another project or any clues what is going on i'd rather not start from scratch
