if u want a bass that can play anything, from jazz to rock and everything in between look into warwick basses.... theyre pricey but theyre the best and worth every single cent... ~dn

larsen is definately right that ull need a hi gain amp but if ur looking for a more on tone (and better made guitar) look into the santana se which is made by prs. they run about $750 new which high considering that is the cheapest prs model they have... or maybe the tremonti se is...

hey i've been reading reviews on monitors and what not and a lot of them say how passive monitors are superior to active monitors.... im using a pair of m audio sb5s? i think... and theyre just fine for what im doing right now.... but why am i reading so much saying that passives sound better...

hey when i write songs I'm all about structure.... I love coming up with a whole buch of riffs and hooks and then arranging them (and rewriting some for smooth transition). Do any of you guys have interesting structured songs? What are your thoughts on this approach? ~dn

one of those shitty 10 watt squire amps..... it hurt to play with it, and worsly (is that a word?) i blew it only two months after having it.... now im using a johnson jt 50 just as a practice amp, and have a mesa/boogie recto standard 4x12 sitting in the closet just waiting for a two channel...

hey im using 10's now (daddario xls) do any of u know what kind of low e string i could use to balance out a dropped tuning.... i play in drop d a lot and hate how it feels flimsy compared to the other strings.... has anyone done this before? ~dn

yeah i hate my floyd rose bridges. I also hate the fact that my three favorite guitar all have floyd rose bridges.... anyway on all of them it always seems like the high e string always goes out of tune.... I've tried tighten the spring on one side to try to compensate but ive had no luck...
