Hi there, i've been a while away from this site...busy busy busy..
and today we bought our new studio console whoepie!

4 years ago we were a homerecording studio, now we can buy a home if we sell that console haha
I have the G5 dual and i love it. Sure i know i paid to much for what i actually got, but i am happy to pay extra for that everyday woowaa....working with my g5 experience :D .....
I am probably one of the happy few to be able to spend that kind of money on the woowaa factor and not...
Nop, just tried it on a vocal and posted my findings here.I did hear an ac guitar track recorded by the guy from whom i lend the mics. It sounded pretty ok in my ears without using any eq...especially for that price.
I think the alesis is a good start as a first compressor. I mean, you're not commercially selling your stuff are you? Just for learning the basics i guess. Indeed it is not a real good compressor, but by working with it and getting to know it's limitation helps you understand the basics of...
I can't give the mic a rating because i would have to rate it for each instrument and occasion differently. I just had my first ...huh? experience with this mic.
It's not bright sounding, it's a very loud top frequency like a 31band eq with all flat except 8K at +12dB if you get what i mean.
I didn;t compare it to the AT and groovetubes. only to the shure. Some mikes sound bright, some flat, some not so bright..but this wasthe first time i experienced a...
Haven't tried other models from SP. My point was that for the money, it makes a decent mic. Offcourse there are numerous destinations with it to go recording, but I found it somewhat strange that I really disliked it (even totally unusefull) for the vocal i recorded. That suprised me.
I know...
Hi, a friend of mine brought a SP b1 and a shure ks32 to the studio for me to compare and give comments about them.
I recorded a vocal track (female) and found the following:
The B1 had sort of a real annoying hiss in the upper frequencies making it to MY TASTE (!!!!) vertily unusefull in the...
I've had a couple but with the new desk (solitaire) i couldn't hear a real difference between the tla and the desk's preamps...so i sold them but kept one (it looks cool!)
sometimes use it for kick/snare/bass/guitar
Basicly, you can work without it, without problems..but onces you get used to it you can't without it.
when mixing multiple tracks (commonly 32+) its a handy utility so see what is where in a glimpse
Yes, and it seemed that I was the first costumer in this country to add a extra videocard...nobody seemed to know if it would work. Ati said it did, and one dealer was 100% sure...
I'm just not sure if i had them on the separate pci busses....I believe i did, but have to check that
