so you wouldnt compress them individually? and can i jus use the virtual mains in cakewalk? put the bass, snare, and tom tracks to a different main and then put a compressor on them

trackrat: i kinda lost you on where you where talking about parallel compression. i dont have a hardware compressor, the only compressor i have to use is the timeworks compressor plug-in. any tips on working with that?

yea i agree about the bass drum...i'm def going to eq it, cutting some mids and some lows, leaving mostly highs, with still some bass of course. how do i fix the boxy soundingness..?

how bout the dmp3 vs the behringer? big difference there?

sounds alright... i think the vocals need to be compressed... and i personally think that the lead that was done in dst should of just been done on another acoustic... and yes, the vocals some work... but yea, i'd agree, good start..

well if i did run it through "c", then i would keep the speakers connected, and have it come out of just the headphones. would this be ok?

yea i was gonna buy one of those things were u can plug it into the power amp and then it has 4 or 5 different headphone jacks. how do u hook up the speaker thing?

i was planning on getting a headphone amp.... so what will i have to do to use headphones for tracking? and where can i get the speaker selector?

currently i use a behringer mx2004 for my mic pre-amps. if i get a mackie mixer, art tube pre-amp, or m-audio (audio buddy)pre-amp, will i hear a big difference between the behringer and the new one? does anyone have experience with both?

the mics i have are a rode nt-1a, 2 oktava mc012's, 2 shure sm 57's, and a akg d112 the effects of moisture on the rode was verrrrrry obviously, but im not sure about the others, because i dont use them as much. and theres not that much moisture...jus some here
