Right when mixing down heavy projects...not when tracking a VO. And anyways who cares if it makes some noise when mixing down?!? I got a Macbook Pro with a quad i7 core, 2.4ghz and 8gb of ram, refurbished from the apple site...saved 500$ and it works so well!

RE 20 or sm7, Ive also used a Rode NTG2 shotgun mic for VOs and it was great! all you need is decent A/D interface like the presonus firebox...

Yeah this was a bad track to try and Master, the original is the mix down. If anything I should just run this through the J37...

B is way better, the bass content is clearer, the vocals shine through better. I just like the vibe of it better :)

Even though you have compressors on the tracks, they are not doing anything. You should learn how to set them properly, and what they do. It does sound like a cool track though.
