I have a DR-05 and I'm unaware of any way for it to power a mic ..... it simply has a 1/8" stereo input and that's it unless there'sd a newer model. It's only a 100 dollar unit so it's limited. I've found it to be a decent unit for the price.

I don't really hear any pitch issues with the vox at all actually. I do find the drumbs have an 'awkward' feel to them ..... it's subtle but there ...... but it's a nice song mang.

I'm a EV guy .... I have several of the Co7s and also the Co9 .... both are better than 57s to my ears and CHEAP!! I also have about a dozen of the 767s and the ND70s and such. A while back the 767s were going for 50 bucks so I bought a dozen.

I'm gonna have to say that unless the amp was badly biased in the first place, I can't agree that biasing makes a 'massive' difference ..... same with the different brands of tubes. I'm NOT saying there's NO difference but I don't find it to be massive and is always just a matter of adjusting...
