thanks..... naw.... glad you read the post. ;)
yes, it's usually 3-4 movements. ...the first one is usually medium speed. second is slow. third or fourth is the fast ending.
but there is a technical form for a "true" sonata. i guess i'm interested in what makes something a real sonata. i...
hi.
i want to write a "true" piano sonata. i tried to look up sonata on the net, but the faqs were unclear. can someone describe the format of a piano sonata clearly and in depth?
thanks.
i still don't think using two mono's as stereo is bad unless the build quality is inconsistent.
...you know, in the audiophile world they use a lot of "mono-block" amps. that is, two totally separate amps, one for each speaker. in theory, this is better because the two channels aren't...
ps.... what mbuster said was true. if your wife really wrote a response to her because of that, well... that really isn't appropriate. he is not personally attacking you.... he's just calling it as he sees the music. not you.
and like i said... he's right. she doesn't have no balls...
i listened to both songs:
her singing and your music don't work together in prologue2. i don't think there's anything you can do about that. the music (you wrote for her?) just is not appropriate for her voice. it sounds like you played another artist's CD for her, and she did a karaoke...
well, i think the main reason for a stereo link is so that both channels use the same settings. normally when you engage stereo link, you only use one side's controls, and those controls would be used for both channels. the signal still passes through both sides of the unit, just with the same...
do you realize that the Grados do not have ANY isolation AT ALL? i have never seen these "Extreme Isolation" headphones... but if they are what their name implies, they are the opposite of your Grados. how did you come to decide between these radically different headphones?
and stock Grados...
hey... got another question:
since now i have the phantom power turned on on my board....
1. when is it okay to plug/unplug microphones?
2. should i unplug my condenser after every use--or if it ain't gonna be used for a long time? i figure if it's better that it's not passing any current, or...
i don't get it either. after all, that's exactly how a mixer works anyway...... one side goes through one strip, the other side goes through another, one strip panned left, one panned right. UNLESS, the mean their "strips" are so badly made that different units have significantly different...
where i can. of course, most synths aren't balanced... i might buy some line transformers later.... but all the good ones are kinda expensive. but if the unit has balanced in/outs, that's what i used.
damn..... is there a FTP site or something i can upload these samples to?--i don't want them freely available to anyone. each track lasts about 1 min... and is 13mb each. or do you have icq?--i can directly tranfer it to you.
i appreciate it.
but i don't think the problem is line noise. various components here hum more than others. stuff plugged straight into the wall in another room in the house, without any conditioning, sounds totally silent. it's just when it's plugged into my studio system everything starts...
hey, this is pretty darn good! i just listened to many mp3's on this forum, and many of them just have sucky singers--they can't sing on pitch at all! but i don't have much to say about your singing--sounds great! you have a nice voice, and this music-style exemplifies your singing.
my own...
k.... i just checked out tinnitus blues by wfaraoni in texas:
has peaks at 55, 109, 164, 220hz .... etc...
i tried to find trojka's music, but he doesn't seem to have anything downloadable at the time...
just looked at boogab's, and i couldn't find any real peaks in the low-end. though his...
you know... that's a good question. got links to the european music on this mp3 mixing forum?--i dunno who's european.
but you know, stangely i did a recording yesterday, and the peaks shifted to 100hz and their harmonics....... so i'm totally confused now. but the graph is still odd...
well, my take on headphones is that they are like microscopes... they let you see things you can't usually see. personally, i use the NHTPro A-20 + B-20 system for full-range monitoring, and a pair of Sequerra met 7.7's for mixing. they're both very good, i assure you. i mean, i can hear the...
ok, thanks.....
what would i look for then while using these breakers?--what electrical problems would cause high hum? cause like i said... it seems to be in everyone's recordings on this board.
you know..... i just remembered, i did swap mics on the same cable with the phantom power on the whole time. could i have damaged anything? also is there some rule about enging/disengaging the phatom power on the Mackie?--i remembered reading some warning in the manual. it's not possible to...
yeah... the guitar is overwhelming....
but my main complaint is about the singing. the singer needs some major practice. his pitch is WAY off. and... i can hardly understand what he's saying... he needs to learn to enunciate clearly.
now, i don't want to sound mean or anything..... but i...
hi. this is a pretty cool piece. have never heard anything like it before. and that guitar-ish sound is pretty neat. is that what you called the "ebow?" is it really a electronic violin or something?
anyway.... my criticism is that the piano at the beginning stands out too much. it sounds...
