Bummer. I have an Audiobox. I was hoping to record drum OHs through the Audiobox and a kick trigger through the mic in, just to timestamp the kick notes so they could be replaced with a sample. Looks like the best I can do to fake the third input is try to trigger off the OH tracks...

This is a question just out of general interest. I have read that diaphragm size doesn't strongly affect low frequency response. Why then are SDCs almost never used in front of the kick?

That kick looks about twice the size of mine! Nice!

Snare is 3.5x12, toms 8x10, 11x13, and 14x16 for the kick. I guess the way to describe the sound is articulate; lots of attack and just enough thump. I hope to do a bit of recording so I'll post soundfiles in a few weeks... =)

It's much easier to hear cheap cymbals than cheap drums. If your shells are still in round and the edges are decent, they should tune up nicely with decent heads, so I say go for the bronze.
