there's always the new DX200's, which offers some easier programming and different waves... but the dx-7 is a classic, don't know quite if that's a good thing or not, people tend to over hype it because of that...

well for ambience sounds, it almost definitely gotta be a V/A / analogue synth imo... and the best ones for the $ are definitely the ks4/ks5... oohlala... with fm and all sortsa shit... and enough effects to go around...

Yes, and the patch setups of the expansion are on the motif itself... Haven't tried that yet though, so i can't tell you exactely how it works...

that's not really the same... that's a pretty lame physical modeling card... yes, any and everything the Motif can do the Triton Studio can do and then some, except analogue modeling... but you can get cheap analogue modeling units on the side, so that's no biggie... guernica, that's a pretty...

the triton studio is a huge lard ass piece of furniture with 7-9 (???) expansion slots and a cd-rom burner onboard.. I think it goes for a little below 4000$ ... the modular expansion boards on the motif (the an200 and dx200)) are expansions that gives you V/A synthesis like on modular...

you must be doing something wrong... but i can't quite figure out what... this is a very weird problem. sound like some global transpose function automatically switches on :D are you using a pirate version or what? if so, then it's probably a bug with the crack and thank god for that... ;)...
