    She-Wolf - Greg_L original

I have questions Gerg. You mentioned that the average Gerg Production takes about a day from start to finish but this one took a month. First, what is it about this track or its production that makes it different from the others, so as to require ~30x the amount of time to complete? Was it...

    Acoustic soundtrack

The flute was really fake? No WAY! lol. It still sounds good. It seems you can't go wrong with most of the flute sounds that are out now. Have fun tweaking velocities. My favorite thing to do second only to manually humanizing each note of a virtual instrument. The piece is good ear candy...

    Out of This World.

After listening, I'm actually not thinking that I want that five minutes of my life back. That's a pretty cool tune man. I might actually listen again. There is enough going on here to keep it interesting without getting too flighty. Something about the vocal style reminds me of that old...

    She-Wolf - Greg_L original

The good news: That recording is totally awesome. Gerg does rule. The bad news: You couldn't pay me to listen to that song again. lol.

I made a Driving Song, what you think?

It sounds good but it's not something I'd listen to. But, I guess this place isn't about "tastes." Your ears are rusty. I haven't listened to homerecording in forever and that snare and cymbals immediately jumped out at me. It reminded me of the fact that I can never get snare and cymbals to...

Looking for a "colored" preamp, hard to explain in a title, expained in post

Forget the convoluted signal chain. You should be able to find a way to do what you want to without leaving the computer. Find digital sounds that come ready-made the way you want them, or use a digital filter of some sort on the ones you have, whatever.

    Car--Recorded in a basement

Great song. It reminds me of Pavement or Built to Spill. Or even more, Neutral Milk Hotel. I'd like to hear more of your songs. On getting more Low-end. I'm not sure turning up the bass is going to do anything. Oddly, it seem pretty present. In fact, I don't have any tips. The...

Check out the world's first Rock-Classic-Techno-Crossover

For some reason I just can't help myself from getting "Porno!" visuals. Nah, just kidding. You have a good sense for phrasing. I like how the licks talk to each other in like question and answer form at some points.

Proudly presenting the HR all star country rock jamboree #1

That's come a long way since the original track you posted. Fun Jam. Let me just be the first to say that the the Sound effects (police etc) are awesome. :p This should be on apl's National Review top 50 conservative song list.

    My first serious recording(first mix)

I figured as much. The trick with making that type of music is keeping listener engaged. But, I think you are probably on the right track.

    My first serious recording(first mix)

The drums do take that arena rock sound a little too far I think. The song: As an instrumental it sounds like the "post-rock" genre. Like "Explosions in the Sky" or something but heavier. It's not bad at all. The atmosphere I think you probably want is there. But, here's my...

Latin Groove - elec and classical guitar duo

Very Nice playing. It's not easy to make something that isn't boring with just one droning chord.

Okay. I'm listening................ Rumba De Otono. Balada Simple. There are really nice changes in 'My Cuarto Azul.' ...........in that order. Welp, you were right. I didn't regret it. You write good music. If I could download a ring tones onto my phone I probably would...

    New old tune...

I hadn't heard it before the new pre but that sounds great. I can hear what people are complaining about in terms of the distorted guitar sounding overcompressed and fuzzy but, in fact, I think that's part of what makes the guitar track so effective. Someone else talked about the...
