    4-Track Recording

Gavin, I usually like to keep drums on track one or 4 because tracks 1 and 4 have more bass tone on a 4 track tape recorder. Steven

    BR8 soounds tinny

r23, You should be getting some sweet tones (without even playing with EQs) plugging directly into the BR8. What effects are you using through the BR8 with your Guitar. Steven Also, try plugging some good headphones into the BR8 directly to listen. That is your true sound.

Back it up or Shut up!

RD423, No I am not using the Wave converter. I have been just going from the digital out on the BR8 straight into my sound card. And into Cakewalk as a stereo file. Steven

Back it up or Shut up!

LMAO. Your right. Way too much caffene yesterday. But seriously..... If there is a better way to run things into Cakewalk I would love to know. I would really be interested in if it is possible to run all 8 tracks seperately into Calewalk. Currently I run all 8 tracks as a Stereo file into...

Joel, You and I do it the same way. I fill up all 8 tracks. get the mix I like. Then run it into Cakewalk. This post was directed to a few people on the "Surround with BR-8" thread. I was gonna let it go. But then I thought I needed to set the record straight about how awesome this machine...

Back it up or Shut up!

Installing Zip drives on your computer? WHY? Here is an idea. Why not learn how to use the BR8? Why not after learning, use it to its full potential? Why not just buy a 2 track recorder if thats all you know how to use? Get Real, and STOP giving people advice about things you dont know...

    Don't Be Too Long

Thanks Everybody. To answer your question. YES I record everything with my BR-8. And yes I do use some presets. But I record DRY, then I copy the dry track to another open track and play around with effects. I usually tweak the presets. And I mic my cabinet about 3 inches away. Steven

    Don't Be Too Long

Social Noise, Thanks for listening and Welcome to HomeRecording.com. I appreciate what you said about my voice. I am a songwriter before I am anything else. So I am really my worst critic. Sometimes I wish I could sing pretty or play the guitar like I was possesed. I taught myself enough about...

    Don't Be Too Long

Thanks for the feedback. Any ideas on how I can give the drums more impact?. They are coming through loud and clear on my system here. Thanks for mentioning the vocal level too. I usually have my vocals much more out front. And I always get told by people on this board that vocals could go...
