Jono, Your response is funny. Please list something of yours for us to listen to before making even a bigger ass out of yourself. When you reply with a posting of your own recordings I will respond to your questions.. pretty simple. Steven

Joel. YES. You are correct. Steven

    Bouncing on BR8

Doug, When you choose "All" it automatically will do the entire track. I wouldnt suggest choosing "all" unless you want the entire track selected. Steven

    Bouncing on BR8

Doug, Yes, Optimizing is great tool to use. And its the only tool to get the time back. But you need to Erase dead space that you dont want. Optimizing wont "Erase" information on a track. It will only optimize what isnt being used. And if you dont erase the dead spots the machine will think...

    Bouncing on BR8

Doug, YES. You can Use the "Marker" to mark where the beginning of the part starts and ends. Then use those marker points when you are in Copy+Insert. Or you can just choose "All" and go back and erase the dead spaces you dont want. I would suggest doing this on ALL tracks and ALL parts...

    Bouncing on BR8

Doug, When you are bouncing tracks on the BR-8: It wont let you bounce track 6-1 to track 6-anything. So, you have to get creative bro. Bounce 6-1 to any open track except track 6. Then you can listen to what you bounced. If you like it Copy+Insert it back to a virtual track on 6. Or just leave...

Back it up or Shut up!

Jono, Idiot? I am far from an idiot. As a matter of fact, I know a hell of alot about recording and I know a hell of alot about the BR-8. I notice you quoted the very first message in that thread. If you would have read the entire thread you would have noticed that things came full circle...

    Dry recording on Br8

Doug, You can still use the "Copy + Insert" option even if you only wanna play a certain part once. As for me, I dont want EVERY part to sound the same. I like the "Little differences". This is my own personal taste/style though. Steven

    Dry recording on Br8

Doug, The difference between "Copy" and "Copy + Insert" is: In "Copy + Insert" it you choose both the "Copy" and the "Insert" locations. In "Copy" you only choose the location where you are copying from. You would then have to choose "Insert" and then choose the location to insert the track...

    Dry recording on Br8

gtrist, After you decide on a certain effect for the dry track. "BOUNCE" that track (ONLY) to a open virtual track. Then you can "Copy + Insert" that new track wherever you like. You can keep the original dry track or erase it. Your choice. Good Luck Steven

    New Song "Together"

I really liked this song alot. As far as the mix goes... The drums sound a little buried to me. Maybe its the vocals being so far out front. IMHO Steven

    Crawling with the Ants

Wow. Sounds like Cobain to me. Kinda eery. Great Tune. Leave it as is. Steven

    Another Sunny Day

Matt, Great tune. I would bring the drums up in the mix if it was me. Also, the lead could go down a touch too. I agree with a previous post too. A little reverb added to the mix could really bring this song to life. Keep on rockin. Steven

    BR-532 vs. BR-8

John, I have played with both machines. I chose the BR-8 because it has more tracks. 8 tracks are better than 4. Both machines basically operate the same way. The biggest difference is the amount of tracks you want. What will you be recording? The answer to this question is the answer to...
