Thanks a lot for your input everyone, I think Im going to go with a pair of the omnis first, now I just have decide on the 1's or 2's. I dont really know much about mics, Im a newb, what is going to be the big differences between the MSH-1 and Msh-2?

I have a question about di's too, no point in making a new thread! Ok, I have a firepod, and the first two channels say instrument, so, do I really need a DI?

what about dotted rythms in cut time??? Reading rythms is another weak spot for me (and im in concert/marching band!)
