Would you buy a guitar you haven't played?

I bought an American Deluxe Tele a year ago from Musician's Friend. I'm still very happy with it. Of course without their return policy I wouldn't have sprung for it sight unseen.

    song stucture info?

Iggy Pop? I actually like him a lot and I take a closer look at his songs because I think they have a great verse/chorus structure. His song bridges (when they occur) act as inspiration for helping me out of my writing rut sometimes. It's in there, I swear! :D A lot of the other hit songs...

    Influences

I had always thought that the songs of Kate Bush, David Sylvian, and Todd Rundgren had the most influence on the stuff I wrote, but when I play my stuff for friends they think it's Jan Hammer still stuck in Miami Vice or disco mode. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

    Melodies

Hey Krystof, that probably explains why I haven't been able to come up with melodies I like recently. I started playing guitar again very late last year after having not touched a guitar for almost 10 years. (Long story, mostly grad school, no prison.) Man, the more I think about it, the more...
